Whether you’re shopping for a new mama or you are one, here are 5 New Mom Essentials that truly make a difference — the gifts that help her feel seen, cared for, and wrapped in a little extra love during one of the most tender seasons of her life. 💛
The Top 5 Gifts!

If you purchase through any link throughout the post, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
1. Skylight Frame
No matter your season of motherhood this one is a must! It’s perfect for displaying thousands and thousands of photos of your precious little one! If you’re like me even on the hardest of days, you’ll miss your little one once you lay them down in their crib. And inevitably you’ll find yourself watching your skylight frame with the countless memories already made!
P.S This also makes a fantastic grandparent gift! We gifted one to every set of grandparents last Christmas! In as quick as a bathroom break, from your Skylight App you can send photos to anyone you share the frames link with!

2. Hydro Jug
I know what you’re thinking… Another cup… Yes! (I thought the same thing, but unlike your beloved Stanley, this one doesn’t spill. The lid is everything on this cup. You can throw it in your diaper bag, the bottom of the stroller, in the wagon, or in your bogg bag and not worry about it spilling.

3. A Bogg Bag
Speaking of Bogg Bag, it made the top three!!! This bag makes traveling with littles so much easier! It’s perfect for those day trips(or longer) where you can’t quite fit everything in your diaper bag. Or you don’t want to bogg down your diaper bag while you’re away from home all day! I love that it’s easy to wipe clean, fits an entire diaper sleeve, and stands up on its own. Think of this as your Mary Poppins bag of motherhood. Everything you need can fit in there! (They have three sizes. You’ll want the original, which is the biggest size!)

4. A Cozy Robe
The perfect robe to you might depend on how soon you’re having your baby! If you want a warm or a thin robe, but robes make breastfeeding easy and accessible! Especially early morning and night when you don’t want to worry about buttons on pjs! I highly recommend getting a few pairs of pjs post partum that are a dress(for easy diaper access for you PP), and buttons for easy breastfeeding & skin to skin time!!)

5. The Tush Baby
If you don’t already have a soft baby carrier (like the Moby or Solly Wrap), I recommend one of those as well. For daily tasks around the house, a soft wrap is perfect! But if you’re like me, leaving the house with your precious baby can feel intimidating. Overnight, you go from just jumping out of the car with a small purse to every time you leave the house, it feels like you’re packing up the whole house! The tush baby is perfect for those quick trips where you want your baby to stay awake for their wake window! Or maybe don’t want to bring the whole stroller out for an errand. You can wear the tush baby as a quick support for holding your baby on your hip, or add the snug attachment(A must in my book!) to make it hands-free!
Reasons You’ll Love the Tush Baby
- Holds all the things! You can fit a diaper, some wipes, your wallet, phone, a teether burp rag, and it even has a waterbottle spot!
- You can use it as a nursing support when on the go
- Makes daily tasks easier with lots of support. The add-on snug attachment is a must!
- You can wear it with or without the extra attachment. It takes seconds to remove!
- When your baby is like 18 pounds they will feel like 8 lbs!
- They even have a bag strap if you want to take off the hip band and turn it into a purse.
- So many colors! They even have leather!!

LOL. Can you tell I’m obsessed with the Tushbaby & I take it everywhere! I know it’s expensive compared to most carriers, but it’s 100% worth it!
At the end of the day, every new mama just wants to feel supported, seen, and a little less alone in the beautiful chaos of those early weeks. These are the things that truly helped me, the things I now recommend to every mom I love. Whether you’re putting together your own Christmas Wishlist or shopping for a new mama in your life, I hope these essentials make her days feel a bit easier, a bit more organized, and a whole lot more loved. Because trust me… even the smallest gift can make the biggest difference in this season. 💛
3 Bonus Gifts
P.S I do have three bonus gift ideas for you! Each gift I personally asked for and LOVED receiving as a new Mama! They don’t all necessarily fit the brand new mama wish list but they were worth sharing! Maybe save them for the future or recommend the idea to a fellow Mama friend by sharing this blog post with her!
1. Mama and Me Matching Outfits
I asked for this while pregnant and got the cutest little floral robe to match my son’s green onesie newborn gown for his big arrival!

2. $ For A Proper Postpartum Recovery Course
I recommend the Natal App for postpartum recovery to every single mama I talk to! (I’m not sponsored by them but I wish I was.) Post having a baby, things change! But just because they change it doesn’t mean you have to stay that way! For example, just because you have to pee everytime you sneeze(we have all been there PP!) doesn’t mean it has to stay like that.
One day, I’ll write a whole post about the Natal App and how much of a game-changer it was for me personally recovering from birth. I did the Ab rehab portion of the app to correct my separated tissue post my son’s birth, fixed all my pee issues, and regained core control to do extensive workouts with proper function/form. Now I do her strength workouts and love that her coaching helps me use safe form with my ever-changing body. I think it costs as much as eating at Chick-fil-A once a month. WORTH IT!
3. Personalized MAMA Sweatshirt

This sweatshirt I’m wearing in this photo is handmade by my friend Brooke, at @loveyjamesco on Instagram. She turned my son’s coming home from the birth center outfit, one of my favorite onesies, a memorable 2nd month photo shoot outfit, and a pattern I loved him in, into the most precious mama keepsake!

The quality is unmatched, and I loved that those outfits won’t be sitting in a box for the next 25 years while I wait for him to have a son of his own one day. I get to wear it proudly and be reminded of the sweet memories each outfit holds!
I hope you loved this post! If you found it useful, please share it with a mama friend who you think would love it too!
